Digitalization of physical checklist for the perfect oven installation
Hounö wished to offer a service solution that solves critical pain points in relation to installation, service and maintenance of their new line of ovens. Streamlining and standardizing work processes, the service app should create the best conditions for a functional and reliable oven. Combinded with a push from OEMs, partners and distributors, Hounö collaborated with Design-People to help uncover a new, scalable and future-proof digital solutions.
In line with a rebranding of Hounö's combi ovens, Hounö envisioned a new digital solution moving from a physical checklist to a digital enviroment, combining processes tight up to the oven. The goal was error-free installations and maximum uptime, regardless of which service technician installs or repairs the oven. This also gave Hounö the opportunity to collect data by utilizing QR-codes on non-connected ovens, sharing data between the technicians smartphone and a Hounö cloud.
Designing an interaction principle, where the technicians can move freely between tasks in the installation- and services flow, came to be a very important main feature. In forming concepts, internal service technicians at Hounö, was invited to participate on a user jouney workshop, where the installations journey was explored. Uncovering crucial insights, that helped create an accessible and user-friendly user experience.
